Welcome to the JORDAN ENGINEERING website

JORDAN ENGINEERING have been building  trailers and specialist attachments for ATVs and Compact Tractors since the early 1980's.

We can boast a wealth of engineering experience in our family history. The late Ron Jordan (Father) was an accomplished engineer who spent his early years as an aero-engine specialist, working on various Rolls-Royce units as fitted to Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters and the like. After the war he worked for a local Ford tractor dealership as Service Manager.

 We have used ATVs on contract operations since the first 3 wheel models were around. On the larger side of things we ran long reach Hydrocut hedge cutters on contract, working on farms, highways and on council and railway contracts.

This has been the spawning ground for many ideas over the years, and has led to the development of several of our machines. We also like to listen to our customers and friends who regularly approach us with worthwhile ideas. Often these can be developed into machines that become part of our product line.

When not engineering a lot of Jerv's time is spent commentating at vintage rallies and shows. Particularly on tractors, a lifetime passion inherited from his father. He also has a small collection of classic tractors and a combine.

This year (2014) we are putting together a special build tractor which will be used to try and break the Tractor World Landspeed Record, hopefully later this year or in early 2015.

Because we are a small company our equipment is not mass produced. This guarantees excellent build quality. Something we are very keen to promote.

We do not aim to compete with some of the cheaper mass produced items that are available on today's market.

Our equipment is built strong and durable for many years of service. A good example being our first Dumpy Tipping Trailer which is still in use 28 yrs later.

All our products are individually built and are finished "up to a standard - not down to a price", with a tendency towards over specification.

Due to our size, we rarely carry stock, so most items are built to order. This may mean a short wait after ordering, but it will be worth it.

 

All our products are built to be strong, long lasting, practical and user friendly. Our main aim is to offer quality products throughout a broad field of application, that will simplify and speed up various every day tasks. This we aim to achieve by good, effective, practical design, and tough, straightforward, no-nonsense engineering.
